Hello there!
When I decided to travel the UK and Scotland, people told me `Why?, it rains there !`
Hmmm, yes, I know, and I already had some. But nature is beautiful and the villages are picturesque. So, let`s go for it!
I left last Friday and took the ferry from Dunkirk to Dover, then straight to Canterbury. I have to be honest, i was a bit worried about the driving, but my first lefty roundabout and passing a truck from the wrong perspective, all went well. Today I will do my second leg by car, from Canterbury to Brighton. But back to Canterbury. It is beautiful !!! I visited to Abbey (Unesco heritage), the cathedral (this one is truly beautiful and hghly decorated), the Westgate towers, the Roman nuseum and Canterbury e Castle. The castle is closed now because of failing mortar :-/
Today will be a much quieter day, with a lot of shopping. There`s not much to see in Brighton, a pier and shopping lanes. But that`s good, because my knee hurts already.
